10 Corso Como, Shopping center in Corso Como, Milan, Italy
10 Corso Como is a multifunctional complex in Milan's central area housing retail shops, art galleries, a restaurant, and a few guest rooms. The former garage building was completely renovated to blend different activities in a single location.
It was founded in 1990 by Carla Sozzani, a former editor of Vogue Italia magazine. She started with an art gallery and bookstore before it expanded into fashion retail.
The place reflects how fashion and contemporary art intertwine in Milan's design world as visitors experience them together. You can see how exhibitions, boutiques, and dining areas share the same space and influence each other naturally.
The building is located in Milan's central area and is easy to reach by public transport. The different sections—shops, galleries, and dining area—are spread across multiple levels, so plan to move between areas as you explore.
A sociologist recognized this project as the world's first concept store, which later inspired many similar spaces worldwide. The model of blending shopping, culture, and dining together was uncommon when it first opened.
