Giardino Botanico Alpino alle Viotte di Monte Bondone

The garden extends across 10 hectares at 1,538 meters altitude, featuring numerous rockeries, lakes, and peat bogs throughout the expansive grounds.

Established in 1938 under botanist Vittorio Marchesoni's guidance, the garden began its mission to protect and study regional alpine flora species.

The garden maintains an international seed exchange program and produces an annual Delectus seminum, documenting all plant species within its collection.

From June through August, visitors can explore the gardens daily between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with September hours running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The collection contains over 2,000 plant species from mountain ranges worldwide, including numerous rare and endangered alpine specimens.
