The Museo Tripisciano occupies four exhibition rooms within the 17th-century Palazzo Moncada, displaying 71 pieces including plaster casts, marble, and bronze works.
Michele Tripisciano, born in 1860 to a potter family in Caltanissetta, studied in Rome and received recognition from King Umberto I with the Knight's Cross in 1900.
The museum's collection represents half of Tripisciano's total artistic production, featuring classical sculptures ranging from religious figures to commemorative monuments.
The exhibition space contains four main galleries: Sala del Belli, Sala dell'Angelo, Sala dell'Orfeo, and Sala degli Oratori, each focusing on specific themes.
The marble sculpture Orfeo, displayed in its dedicated room, gained international recognition at the Italian Fine Arts Exhibition in St. Petersburg in 1898.
