Mirabello Castle, Medieval castle in Pavia, Italy
The castle consists of a remaining wing with a balcony supported by arches and a brick structure spanning two floors within Parco Visconteo.
Originally constructed between 1325 and 1341 by the Fiamberti family, the castle was later acquired by Galeazzo II Visconti in the 1360s.
The castle served as the administrative center for the Captain of the Park, who managed the extensive Visconti family hunting grounds and leisure estate.
The castle grounds include parking space for 50 vehicles and stands at Via Mirabello 165, near other significant structures like Certosa di Pavia.
A fresco in San Teodoro church, created by Bernardino Lanzani in the early 16th century, depicts the castle within its surrounding landscape.
