Oratory of San Filippo Neri, Bologna, Baroque oratory in historic center, Bologna, Italy.
The oratory features a grand interior with ornate decorations, sculptures by Angelo Piò, and paintings by Francesco Monti and Ludovico Carracci's Ecce Homo.
Built in 1733 under Cardinal Lambertini's supervision, the oratory suffered extensive damage during World War II bombings in 1944 and underwent reconstruction from 1997 to 1999.
The Fondazione del Monte transformed this religious building into a cultural center, hosting concerts, theatrical performances, conferences, and public debates throughout the year.
Located at Via Manzoni 5 in central Bologna, the oratory opens its doors to visitors during the first weekend of each month from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The oratory's reconstruction utilized historical photographs to restore its original architectural elements while incorporating modern features, including a new organ installation.
