Villa del Barone

Villa del Barone is a Renaissance estate in Bagnolo di Sopra, built on Monte Javello with symmetrical architecture and baroque decorative details throughout. The building displays elaborate design with richly decorated walls and ceilings in its interior rooms.

The estate was built around 1530 by Florentine Baccio Valori and embodied his family's power. Following Valori's execution after the Battle of Montemurlo in 1537, the property was seized by Cosimo de Medici.

The interior contains frescoes created by different artists, with distinctive rooms showcasing Renaissance paintings and ornamental details from that era. These wall paintings reflect the artistic vision of the period and shape the experience as you move through the rooms.
