Villa Pazzi al Parugiano

Villa Pazzi al Parugiano is a Renaissance villa in Montemurlo featuring large halls with high ceilings, a secular park, a covered loggia, cellars, statues, and fountains throughout. The property also includes various utility buildings and auxiliary rooms distributed across multiple levels.

The villa was built by the influential Pazzi family and remained their property over generations. In 1935, architect Adolfo Coppede acquired control of the building.

A private chapel inside was once the room of Saint Mary Magdalene de' Pazzi and displays frescoes by Flemish painter Stradanus from the 1580s. These artworks still shape the room's appearance today.

The property now serves as a venue for cultural events, celebrations, and exclusive gatherings, so it is not always open for independent visitors. It is wise to check availability in advance when planning a visit.

The surrounding park includes an Italian garden layout with an olive tree avenue and a lemon house, typical features of wealthy Renaissance estates. These elements reveal how the family used their lands for both agriculture and leisure.
