Church and Convent of Saint Francis

The Church and Convent of Saint Francis features three naves and a Gothic chapel adorned with fourteenth-century frescoes depicting biblical narratives and saint stories.

Construction of the church began between 1221 and 1261, following Saint Francis of Assisi's presence in the area from 1216 to 1222.

The convent includes two museums displaying sacred art collections and archaeological artifacts from the ancient Roman settlement of Superaequum.
