Church of Santa Giusta fuori le mura

The church displays a golden stone facade with three tiers of columns and features three naves within its rectangular structure.

Originally constructed in the 9th century, the church underwent reconstruction in 1238 following damage from an earthquake in 1214.

The crypt contains Roman and Romanesque stone elements that provide insights into early Christian architecture and religious practices.

Following extensive restoration work after the 2009 earthquake, the church reopened for religious services in 2020.

The underground crypt includes rooms carved directly into the rock and runs in the opposite direction to the main church structure.
