National museum of sea archaeology

The National Museum of Sea Archaeology in Caorle showcases objects recovered from sunken ships in the Adriatic Sea, including ship remains, navigation tools, and everyday items found underwater. The collection reveals how people in this region were connected to maritime activities across different periods.

The museum was created to preserve remains and knowledge from shipwrecks in the Adriatic that sank centuries ago in these waters. Its founding reflected a desire to keep the maritime history and trade of this region from being forgotten.
