Villa Caumont Caimi, Neoclassical villa in Felino, Italy.
Villa Caumont Caimi is a country estate in Felino blending architectural styles from two centuries. The 17-hectare property contains the main residence alongside 18th-century stables and a neo-Gothic barn that form part of the larger complex.
The original structure dates to the 17th century but was redesigned in 1839 by architect Giuseppe Rizzardi Polini under Count Francesco Caimi's direction. This renovation brought together the Neoclassical and Gothic Revival elements visible today.
The villa is named after French Count Henri Caumont, who shaped the property and expanded its botanical collections during his time here. Visitors can still sense this passion for plants when walking through the grounds today.
The estate sits on Via Giuseppe Verdi 12 and is accessible from the small town of Felino in the Parma region. The 17-hectare grounds allow visitors to explore on foot, moving between buildings and open spaces.
The grounds feature rare Californian sequoias that have grown there since the 1850s. These exotic trees are a fascinating remnant of Count Henri Caumont's passion for remarkable plants.
