Inviolata church, Baroque church in Riva del Garda, Italy.
Inviolata church is a baroque building in Riva del Garda with a square exterior and octagonal interior space. Inside you find five altars, three entrance doors, and decorative stuccowork in white, black, and gold throughout.
Construction began in 1603 and the building was consecrated around 30 years later. The project took place during a significant period of religious architecture in the region.
The interior displays paintings by Palma the Younger and Pietro Ricchi, while Davide Reti created the white, black, and gold decorative stuccos in 1609.
The church sits at Largo Marconi and is easy to reach on foot from the town center. Visiting hours are regular, so you should check in advance if you plan your visit around specific times of day.
Inside the church is a tabernacle that many consider miraculous, containing a 16th-century fresco of Mary and the Christ Child. This historic artwork draws visitors who come to see this particular religious painting up close.
