The Museo degli Alpini is a military museum in Bassano del Grappa dedicated to Italian mountain troops. Its collection includes weapons, uniforms, equipment, and personal items that document the lives of these soldiers across different time periods.
The Museo degli Alpini was founded on 1 October 1950 by the Bassano del Grappa section of the ANA Monte Grappa, two years after the national Alpini gathering held in the city. It began with magazines, photographs, newspaper clippings and medals documenting the Ponte degli Alpini, which was being rebuilt at the time. Between 1970 and 1990 Marco Tosin and Angelo Verin expanded the collection; in 2002 the flooded basement was recovered and the museum reopened in 2003.
