Santuario della Madonna del Ponte, Religious sanctuary on SP 63 in Partinico, Italy
The Sanctuary of Madonna del Ponte features three naves with vaults supported by stucco columns and contains a notable painting by Vincenzo Manno from 1819.
In 1430, Cistercian monks initiated the repopulation of Partinico following its devastation by Saracens and established the religious complex in the area.
The sanctuary celebrates its feast in the week after Easter with thousands of pilgrims participating in processions through the streets of Partinico.
Visitors can reach the sanctuary by taking the Balestrate exit from the A29 motorway and following SP 63 for approximately three kilometers.
The central painting depicts the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child alongside Saints Peter and Paul, with a representation of the river Jato bridge below.
