Spiaggia di Acquarilli

Spiaggia di Acquarilli is a clothing-optional beach on Elba's southern coast with dark volcanic shingle and pebbles forming a horseshoe-shaped bay with clear water. The shoreline stretches along a secluded cove framed by steep green cliffs that rise dramatically from the shore.

The municipality of Capoliveri officially designated this location as a clothing-optional beach in 2015 after years of informal use by naturist bathers. This formal status came after the community had already established the practice on its own.

The beach naturally divides into two sections separated by rocks, with clothing-optional visitors on one side and traditional beachgoers on the other. This spatial separation allows different groups to coexist comfortably in the same place.

Reaching the shore requires navigating a steep descent of about 100 meters from the parking area, so wear sturdy shoes and consider your fitness level. No facilities exist on site, so bring water, snacks, and sun protection for your visit.

The black sand and pebbles of volcanic origin create a striking contrast with the surrounding green cliffs and the bright blue Mediterranean waters. This visual combination makes the beach stand out as a geologically distinctive spot along the coast.
