Castello di Torcrescenza, Medieval castle in northern Rome, Italy.

Castello di Torcrescenza is a medieval castle in northern Rome, with two square towers topped by Ghibelline battlements along the main facade. The building is organized around several courtyards, one of which is flanked on three sides by a Renaissance portico of stone columns and arches.

The castle dates to the medieval period and was later expanded with Renaissance additions, including the stone portico that now defines one of its main courtyards. Over the centuries it passed through different hands and served various purposes before being converted into an event space.

The castle is used today as an event venue, mainly for weddings and private gatherings held in its stone rooms and open courtyards. The contrast between the heavy medieval walls and the lighter Renaissance portico gives each space a different feel as you move through the building.

The castle is on Via dei Due Ponti in northern Rome, close to a golf club in the same area. Since it mainly operates as a private event venue, checking access and availability before visiting is a good idea.

The property includes a historic Limonaia, a traditional citrus house with a glass gazebo connected to a citrus garden. Buildings of this type were used across central Italy to shelter fragile lemon and orange trees through the winter months.
