Cala Girgolu

Cala Girgolu is a sandy beach near San Teodoro on Sardinia's southeastern coast, stretching about 250 meters. Large granite rock formations line the right side, while clear waters offer views toward the nearby island of Tavolara.

The area was shaped over centuries by waves and wind, with granite rocks taking on their distinctive forms. This natural erosion created the landscape features that define the beach today.

The beach serves as a gathering place where visitors experience Mediterranean coastal living in Sardinia. The summer season brings locals and travelers together through water sports and seaside traditions.

The beach is reached via a nature path starting from a parking area about 300 meters away. Visitors can rent beach chairs and pedal boats once they arrive, with plenty of open space to settle in.

Behind the sandy area sits a small pond that attracts various bird species for nature watchers to observe. Multiple connected coves are reachable from here via walking trails.
