The Merklin organ stands on a marble gallery at the counter-facade, enclosed within a neoclassical wooden case with gilded decorative elements.
The organ, completed in 1881 by Joseph Merklin, replaced an earlier 8-stop instrument from 1580 that Cardinal Contarelli donated to the church.
The instrument serves the French national church in Rome, supporting liturgical celebrations and maintaining the musical traditions of the French community.
The organ features three 56-note keyboards, a 30-note pedalboard, and 38 stops, utilizing mechanical transmission with a Barker lever system.
Giovanni Tamburini conducted restoration work in 1980, followed by Saverio Anselmi Tamburini in 2005, preserving the original tonal characteristics.
