Museo Lavazza, Coffee industry and history museum in Turin, Italy

Museo Lavazza is an industry museum in Turin devoted to coffee production and history, divided into five themed sections: Casa Lavazza, The Fabbrica, The Piazza, The Atelier, and The Universo. Each section walks you through different stages of coffee making and explains how the company shaped Italian coffee culture from the ground up.

The museum opened in 2018 and traces the development of Lavazza from a small family operation into a major coffee producer. It shows how the company grew over time and shaped the way Italians experienced and consumed coffee.

The exhibition includes a recreated Italian town square from the 1960s that shows how coffee became woven into everyday Italian social life. Walking through this space, you see how the ritual of having coffee was simply part of how people spent time together.

Visitors receive an interactive espresso cup at the entrance that activates multimedia displays and collects information as you move through the museum. This cup works throughout your tour, letting you gather details at your own pace in each section.

The museum houses the Lavazza Historical Archive with company documents, vintage advertising posters, and objects that trace the evolution of Italian coffee manufacturing. This collection reveals how packaging, marketing, and production methods shifted throughout the decades.
