Villa Dosi Delfini

Villa Dosi Delfini is a Baroque villa in Pontremoli that rises over three levels into the hillside. The structure features long arches, terraced gardens, and is surrounded by high protective walls.

The Dosi family commissioned construction of this villa in the 18th century on land called 'i Chiosi'. Brothers Francesco and Carlo Dosi selected this location for its advantageous position and characteristics.

The central hall spans two levels with a gallery where painted architectural details and allegorical scenes decorate the walls. These artworks reflect the family's passion for elaborate interior decoration and artistic expression.

Visitors can explore the villa throughout the year and take guided tours of its frescoed rooms and gardens. The extensive library containing thousands of historical volumes is accessible during these guided visits.

An internal spiral stone staircase connects both levels of the building and is decorated with frescoes itself. These paintings depict panoramic views of the surrounding family estates and countryside.
