Regional decentralization entity of Udine

The Regional Decentralization Entity of Udine manages an area of 4,907 square kilometers, extending from the Venetian Prealps to the Po-Venetian Valley lowlands.

Following the dissolution of the Province of Udine in 2017, this administrative entity was formally established on July 1, 2020, marking a restructuring of local governance.

The territory encompasses 134 municipalities across northeastern Italy, including communities near the borders of Austria and Slovenia, creating a multilingual administrative region.

The administrative headquarters in Udine coordinates services for 516,922 residents through a network of municipal offices and digital platforms.

The northern section contains mountain lakes and pine forests, while the southwestern area features agricultural lands and central districts produce recognized white wines.
