Santissima Trinità

Santissima Trinità is a church in Chioggia with a Greek cross floor plan and a stone exterior, with multiple chapels positioned along its interior walls. The space is organized to guide worshippers and visitors through the various devotional areas.

Andrea Tirali completed this church in 1705, blending elements from an earlier 16th-century religious structure into the design. The result brought together architectural ideas from two different periods.

The interior displays paintings influenced by Tintoretto's style, alongside a large wooden Holy Trinity sculpture carved in the 18th century. These artworks reflect the artistic tastes of the community across different periods.

The building houses the Oratory of the Confraternita dei Rossi, named after the red penitential robes worn by members of this brotherhood. This detail reveals religious practices and traditions that took place within these walls.
