The residence was first documented in 1296 and has undergone changes across the centuries. By the 1800s, the Mayrhofen and Koburg families, prominent local figures, used it as their family home and regional base of operations.

The residence is located along Strada Sompunt between Badia and La Villa, accessible via the SS244 road through Val Badia. You can admire the exterior facade from the path, though the interior remains private and closed to visitors.
