Santuario dello Spirito Santo

The Sanctuary of the Holy Spirit is a Catholic pilgrimage church in Torre Annunziata featuring a distinctive dome visible from the sea and a grand facade with three tall fluted pilasters. Its interior is lined with eight chapels flanking the central nave, and the entire floor is laid in bardiglio marble.

Construction began in 1787 under architect Vincenzo Lamberti but was interrupted by political upheaval and French occupation. The project later resumed and was eventually completed.

The sanctuary holds veneration for a martyred saint whose remains rest within its walls. A confraternity dedicated to two saints maintains its presence here and shapes the spiritual life of the community.

The sanctuary is located along Corso Vittorio Emanuele and is easily accessible from Torre Annunziata town center. Its multiple chapels spread throughout the interior offer several spaces to explore at your own pace.

The entire floor is paved in bardiglio marble, a Tuscan stone known for its distinctive veined pattern. This material gives the interior an unusually refined appearance that stands out among similar religious buildings.
