San Donnino Church, Catholic church building in historic center, Como, Italy
San Donnino Church consists of a single nave with a barrel vault decorated with frescoes from the 16th and 17th centuries.
The church's earliest written records date to the late 13th century, with major reconstructions transforming it into a two-nave structure with five altars.
The church functions as a spiritual center for the Greek-Catholic Ukrainian community while maintaining its connection to the Basilica of San Fedele.
The neoclassical pronaos, designed by Carlo Polti in 1813, leads to the main entrance where visitors find a wooden Pietà sculpture in a niche.
Three bells in the campanile, installed in 1947, were created from materials that had been requisitioned during World War II.
