Plage de Fegina, Sand beach in Monterosso al Mare, Italy

The gold sand beach stretches along the Mediterranean coast, offering clear water and natural protection from the surrounding cliffs near the Cinque Terre.

The beach became a central part of Monterosso al Mare's development during the 19th century, when the railway connection transformed this fishing village into a tourist destination.

Local fishermen still maintain their traditional presence on the beach, with small boats lined up along the shore as a reminder of the town's maritime heritage.

The beach provides rental services for sun loungers and umbrellas, while numerous restaurants and shops line the adjacent promenade throughout the summer season.

A massive concrete statue of Neptune, known as Il Gigante, stands at 14 meters tall against the rocky cliff, marking the edge of the beach since 1910.
