Jordan Archaeological Museum

The Jordan Archaeological Museum spans 525 square meters across two floors, featuring three exhibition halls that display artifacts from multiple historical periods.

Established in 1951, the museum houses collections from various archaeological sites throughout Jordan, representing periods from prehistoric times to the 15th century.

The museum exhibits everyday objects, including flint tools, glass items, metal works, pottery pieces, jewelry, and statues that represent different civilizations of Jordan.

The museum opens from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM during summer months and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in winter, with current facilities not adapted for disabled access.

The museum collection includes the Ain Ghazal statues, which rank among the earliest human-made statues, and previously contained the only copper scroll from the Dead Sea.
