The Ridge Church is a church building in Petra with a square floor plan, two rows of central pillars, and a semicircular sanctuary at the main chamber's end. The structure sits across from the Blue Chapel within a central piazza and displays elements drawn from different architectural traditions.
The structure was built in the 3rd or 4th century and incorporated existing Nabatean and Roman materials into its design. After a major earthquake in 363 CE, significant modifications were made, including the construction of a new north wall.
The church displays Greek inscriptions near a fountain that commemorate a military leader of regional importance, offering a window into how the community honored important figures.
