ZOZO Marine Stadium is an open-air baseball stadium in Mihama-ku, Chiba, within Makuhari Seaside Park. Its ring of tiered grey and blue seating surrounds a green turf field with a brown dirt warning track and infield. The curved facade has broad blue cladding bands between light grey columns, a white "QVC Marine Field" sign and a dark block-like scoreboard above the outfield stands.
The ballpark opened in spring 1990 and has served as home for the Chiba Lotte Marines ever since. Its construction came during a period when several new sports venues were rising along Tokyo Bay.
Fans fill the stands with drums and coordinated chants that follow every play and give the entire ballpark a shared rhythm. Between innings, vendors move through the rows offering beer, bento boxes and local snacks while the crowd waits for the next batter.
The JR Keiyo Line brings visitors to Kaihin-Makuhari Station, from where the ballpark is about a 15‑minute walk. On game days, extra shuttle buses run to shorten the trip and ease the journey for those carrying gear or feeling tired.
The covered training halls allow players to work year‑round regardless of rain or winter cold. These facilities sit away from the main stands and are sometimes visible through glass panels during open hours.
