ZOZO Marine Stadium

ZOZO Marine Stadium is a baseball stadium in Mihama-ku, Japan, that holds tens of thousands of spectators and sits within Makuhari Seaside Park. The grounds include shops, food stalls and training areas spread around the main seating tiers.

The ballpark opened in spring 1990 and has served as home for the Chiba Lotte Marines ever since. Its construction came during a period when several new sports venues were rising along Tokyo Bay.

Fans fill the stands with drums and coordinated chants that follow every play and give the entire ballpark a shared rhythm. Between innings, vendors move through the rows offering beer, bento boxes and local snacks while the crowd waits for the next batter.

The JR Keiyo Line brings visitors to Kaihin-Makuhari Station, from where the ballpark is about a 15‑minute walk. On game days, extra shuttle buses run to shorten the trip and ease the journey for those carrying gear or feeling tired.

The covered training halls allow players to work year‑round regardless of rain or winter cold. These facilities sit away from the main stands and are sometimes visible through glass panels during open hours.
