Tomisato

Tomisato is a city in Chiba Prefecture characterized by its agricultural landscape and rural character. The area is dominated by farmland and forests that form the visual structure and layout of the region.

The area served as a horse-breeding center under the Tokugawa Shogunate during the Edo period. This chapter ended when the region became an official village in 1889.
