Tamano

Tamano is a port city in Okayama Prefecture that spreads along the Seto Inland Sea coastline. The city combines residential neighborhoods with industrial zones, including shipyards and harbor facilities.

During the Tokugawa period, the region was a small fishing village, but the establishment of Uno port in the early 1900s fundamentally changed its trajectory. This shift transformed the city into an important industrial center.
