Akashi Castle, Japanese castle in Akashi, Japan

Located in Akashi Park, the castle features two preserved three-story towers connected by stone walls on Mount Akamatsu near the Seto Inland Sea.

Built between 1617 and 1619 under Ogasawara Tadazane's supervision, the castle incorporated materials from nearby fortifications of Miki and Takasago.

Visitors can reach the castle grounds through a ten-minute walk from Akashi Station on the JR West Sanyo Main Line railway.
