Kawajima

Kawajima is a rural town in Hiki district within Saitama Prefecture, characterized by agricultural land and a mix of residential areas. The town sits in the drainage basin of the Arakawa River, which shapes its landscape and connects it to surrounding communities.

The town was formed in 1954 when six villages consolidated into a single municipality. This merger reshaped local administration and created a larger community from several smaller settlements.
