Yubetsu

Yubetsu is a town in Okhotsk Subprefecture spanning diverse landscapes, from coastal areas along the Sea of Okhotsk to inland agricultural regions. The community brings together these different environments and offers both maritime and rural characteristics.

The town received its official designation in 1953 and expanded significantly when it merged with Kamiyubetsu in 2009. This fusion shaped the present-day structure and identity of the community.
