Anamizu, Town in Hosu District, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan

Located on the southeastern coastline of Noto Peninsula, Anamizu extends over 183 square kilometers with a population density of 42 persons per square kilometer.

The area transformed from ancient Noto Province through conflicts between Hatakeyama, Uesugi, and Maeda clans before becoming part of Kaga Domain in the Edo period.

The Kiriko Float Festivals, together with the Okinami Tairyo Festival and Maenami Hikiyama Festival, represent the traditional celebrations of this coastal community.

Transportation access includes the Noto Railway Nanao Line and National Routes 249 and 470, connecting the town to major regional transportation networks.

The Anamizu Folk Heritage Museum documents the development of this transportation hub, while Raikoji Temple displays prefecture-designated cherry blossom trees from the 9th century.
