Tokyo Dome City Attractions, Amusement park in Kōraku, Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo Dome City Attractions is an amusement park in Kōraku, Tokyo that combines rides, sports facilities, and entertainment venues across a large urban site. The complex includes multiple zones, among them a spoke-free Ferris wheel rising 80 meters (262 feet) above ground, plus a roller coaster threading through the center of buildings and weaving past steel supports.
The complex started in 1955 as a smaller amusement area next to the original sports stadium and grew gradually through additions in the following decades. The modern layout with continuous roller coaster tracks and technical innovations took shape after several renovations starting in the late 1980s.
The park integrates Japanese entertainment traditions through its Hero Action Show performances at Theatre G Rosso, featuring advanced video technology and local storytelling elements.
Visitors can use a day pass to access multiple rides, with main areas connected on foot and escalators providing access to elevated sections. Most attractions remain open regardless of weather since many sit under canopies or inside enclosed halls.
An indoor interaction zoo sits within the grounds and houses over 300 animals from 50 species, allowing visitors to observe and sometimes touch creatures at close range. The same space also includes workspace areas and cafes, so people with laptops sit next to aviaries holding exotic birds.
