Minato-ku, Administrative district in Tokyo, Japan

Minato Ward extends over 20 square kilometers and contains major business zones, international embassies, residential neighborhoods, and commercial districts in central Tokyo.

The formation of Minato Ward occurred in 1947 through the consolidation of three former districts: Akasaka, Azabu, and Shiba, during Tokyo's metropolitan reorganization.

The district maintains multiple diplomatic missions and hosts global corporations like Sony, Honda, and Mitsubishi Motors, creating an international environment in the heart of Tokyo.

The ward connects to multiple transportation lines including the JR Yamanote Line at Hamamatsucho station and the Mita Line at Onarimon station for easy access.

In June 2024, Minato Ward appointed its first female mayor, Ai Seike, marking a new era in the administration of this central Tokyo district.
