Shinozaki Station, Underground metro station in Edogawa, Japan
Shinozaki Station is an underground metro station in Edogawa served by the Toei Shinjuku Line. It features one island platform with two tracks and sits at the eastern edge of the Tokyo network.
The station opened on September 14, 1986 as the terminal of the line. It became an intermediate stop in 1989 when the track extended further to Motoyawata.
The station reflects Japanese urban design principles with its efficient underground layout and integration into the local commercial and residential neighborhoods.
The station has three escalators and two elevators to help passengers move through the facility. Accessible toilets are available throughout the station.
Express trains make stops here during the annual Edogawa fireworks festival in August. This happens only during this special event, making it a memorable travel detail.
