Renkō-ji, Buddhist temple in Suginami, Japan.

Renko-ji temple occupies a traditional complex with gardens, meditation halls, and Buddhist sculptures surrounded by seasonal cherry trees and maple gardens.

Founded in 1594 during the Azuchi-Momoyama period, the temple began in Edo before relocating to its current location in Suginami district in 1915.

The temple maintains meditation sessions, Buddhist ceremonies, and educational programs about religious practices for both local residents and international visitors.

Located at 3-30-20 Wada in Suginami district, the temple grounds remain open daily and connect to nearby stations through regular bus services.

The temple houses the ashes of Indian independence leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, marked by a memorial monument erected in 1975.
