Mita Station, Underground interchange station in Shiba, Japan

Mita Station is an underground interchange serving two separate metro lines in the Shiba district. The station contains one island platform for the Asakusa Line and two split-level side platforms for the Mita Line, with four tracks total.

The Asakusa Line began operations in 1968 and the Mita Line was added in 1973. This expansion created an important connection in Tokyo's subway network.

The station supports the daily commute of numerous Keio University students and office workers in the Minato district of Tokyo.

The station connects to nearby Tamachi Station for access to additional rail lines. It helps to note that the two lines use different platform levels when changing trains.

The station name refers to the historic Mita district, yet the station is actually located in Shiba today. The two platform addresses are situated at different points within Shiba.
