Ōkuma Auditorium, Gothic auditorium at Waseda University Campus, Japan
The auditorium features a 37.8-meter clock tower, three floors above ground, one floor below, and English Gothic architectural elements throughout its structure.
The building, completed in 1927 by architects Koichi Sato and Takeo Sato, stands as a memorial to Waseda University founder Shigenobu Okuma.
The structure holds the designation of Important Cultural Property of Japan and regularly hosts academic ceremonies, concerts, theatrical performances, and public lectures.
The main hall contains over 1,100 seats, equipped with modern audio-visual systems while maintaining its original architectural features through careful restoration.
The tower bells, imported from Baltimore's McLean company, were the first in Japan to create harmonious chimes through a combination of four different bells.
