Sihanoukville Province

Sihanoukville Province spans 868 square kilometers, featuring white sand beaches, mangrove forests, and multiple coastal districts along the southern border of Cambodia.

The province established its current administrative structure in 2008, centered around the deep-water port city of Sihanoukville, founded in 1964 as Kampong Som.

The province incorporates five distinct administrative districts, each maintaining traditional Khmer customs while adapting to increasing international influences through tourism and trade.

National Highway 4 connects the province to Phnom Penh, while the international airport and seaport facilitate direct access to regional and global destinations.

The province contains the Ream National Park, where coastal mountains meet marine ecosystems, providing habitats for diverse wildlife species and coral formations.
