Preah Monivong National Park

The protected area spans 1,544 square kilometers across three southern provinces, featuring dense rainforest, waterfalls, and mountain peaks reaching 1,081 meters in elevation.

The French colonial administration constructed Bokor Hill Station within the park boundaries in 1921, establishing a settlement for Europeans seeking refuge from coastal heat.

The 29-meter Lok Yeay Mao statue, built in 2010, represents a Buddhist figure protecting travelers through the mountainous terrain of southern Cambodia.

Visitors can access multiple hiking trails leading to observation points with views of the Gulf of Thailand and surrounding Cardamom Mountains throughout the year.

The park contains a rare Catholic church from 1928, standing among Buddhist temples at high altitude in the Elephant Mountains of Cambodia.
