Pyongyang TV Tower, Communication tower in Moranbong-guyok, North Korea.

Pyongyang TV Tower is a communication structure rising 150 meters above Kaeson Park with multiple broadcast platforms and an observation deck at 94 meters high. The concrete and steel building houses broadcasting equipment distributed across several internal levels to support television and radio transmission.

The tower opened in 1967 and launched the country's first color television broadcasts while improving signal coverage across the surrounding region. This project represented a major milestone in the nation's media infrastructure development.

The structure stands as a symbol of national achievement in broadcasting technology and remains a focal point in the city's skyline.

The observation deck and restaurant areas offer views from different heights across the city landscape. Access to these visitor spaces typically requires arranging a guided visit in advance.

Broadcasting equipment is installed at four distinct levels within the structure, strategically distributed to support multiple signal transmissions simultaneously. This layered design reflects the technical planning applied to maximize transmission effectiveness throughout the region.
