デニー太極旗, National flag heritage site in Yongsan-dong, South Korea.
The Denny Taegukgi features a white rectangular background with a centered red and blue taegeuk circle surrounded by four black trigrams.
The flag gained official recognition in 1882 when Park Yeong-hyo presented the design to the Joseon government, receiving approval from King Gojong.
The flag's design incorporates traditional Korean philosophy through the taegeuk symbol representing balance and trigrams symbolizing natural elements.
The heritage site maintains regular opening hours and provides educational materials about the flag's significance in Korean national identity.
This particular Taegukgi specimen represents one of the earliest standardized versions of South Korea's national flag from the late 19th century.
