Kokshetau's Tatar Mosque

The Tatar Mosque features a rectangular structure with a hip roof, combining a single volume that includes both the prayer hall and minaret.

Built between 1893 and 1894, the mosque received funding from Tatar merchants and underwent modifications during the Soviet period before returning to religious use in 1989.

The mosque represents architectural elements of Tatar design and remains an active center for Islamic worship following the Hanafi tradition in northern Kazakhstan.

Located at the intersection of Momishuly and Auelbekov streets, the mosque welcomes visitors during prayer times and maintains regular services for the Muslim community.

The structure contains a two-tier minaret at its eastern edge and displays a flat dome mounted on a hexagonal drum at the western section.
