Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights, Former KGB headquarters in Vilnius, Lithuania

The Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights displays artifacts and records documenting Lithuania's resistance against Soviet control from 1940 to 1991.

The building served as a prison and interrogation center during Soviet occupation, with over 1000 prisoners executed in its basement between 1944 and 1960.

The museum presents extensive collections of photographs, documents, and personal items that tell the stories of Lithuanian deportees and resistance fighters.

Located at Aukų g. 2A in Vilnius, the museum opens Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.

The basement contains preserved prison cells and an execution chamber where visitors can see objects discovered in mass graves beneath a glass floor.
