Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Vilnius, Baroque church in Antakalnis, Lithuania
The interior of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul contains 2,000 white stucco figures created by Italian masters throughout its walls and ceilings.
The current church building, completed in 1701, replaced an earlier wooden structure that was destroyed during conflicts with Muscovite forces in the 17th century.
The church serves as a testament to Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth architectural traditions, incorporating both local and Italian baroque design elements in its construction.
Located at Antakalnio Street 1 in Vilnius, the church welcomes visitors daily from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM without requiring an entrance fee.
Below the main entrance lies the tomb of founder Michał Kazimierz Pac, marked with a humble inscription stating 'A sinner lies in here.'
