Fahrradmuseum Šiauliai houses over 67 bicycles, 4 velomobiles, and more than 220 additional exhibits that document the development of vehicle technology over time. The collection displays various designs and materials used in the construction of these vehicles.
The museum opened in 1985 at Vilniaus Street 139 after relocating to its new premises. The move was necessary to properly display its growing collection of historical bicycles.
The museum displays a century-old iron tricycle made for children and a bicycle manufactured in Lithuania during the late 19th century. These objects reflect the craftsmanship and daily life of their time.
The museum offers guided tours and audio guides in Lithuanian, English, and Russian, including electronic guides in Lithuanian, English, and sign language. Visitors can choose their preferred language and communication method.
The museum displays a wooden bicycle reconstructed from 500-year-old drawings, offering visitors insight into early vehicle technology. Across three floors, visitors can test different bicycles and experience the differences in their design and handling.
