Sauer Valley Bridge

The Sauer Valley Bridge stretches 1,195 meters across the Sauer River, rising 98 meters above the valley floor at its lowest point.

Engineers completed the construction of the Sauer Valley Bridge in 1987, using 68 sections delivered in eight segments for the assembly process.

The bridge functions as a physical connection between German and Luxembourg territories, representing the integration of European transport networks.

The structure carries both the A1 motorway from Luxembourg and the A64 from Germany, featuring a single box section measuring 27 meters wide.

The bridge incorporates a curvature radius of 2,000 meters and maintains a constant road surface gradient of one percent throughout its length.
